The Ethiopian Orthodox Union church, an autonomous Christian Church headed by a patriarch and closely related to the Coptic Church of Egypt, was the state church of Ethiopia until 1974. About 40 percent of the people of Ethiopia are Christians, and Christianity is predominant in the north.

Morning flight to Lalibela. The driver picks you from Lalibela Airport and direct drive to your hotel after a few breaking you will start your tour of the rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, visiting the Northwestern Cluster of churches - Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael & Bet Golgotha (entry not permitted for women). After lunch, continue with the Southeastern Cluster of churches – Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanual, and Bet Abba Libanos. Finally, you will visit the most famous of all the churches – Bet Giyorgis, constructed in honor of the patron saint of Ethiopia – St.George. Lunch, dinner and overnight in Lalibela.
DAY 2 : Lalibela - Asheten monastery - Lalibela
Early day hike to Asheten monastery and church. Hike to 3400m and visit some of the first churches carved in Lalibela. In the afternoon, you visit the second cluster of Lalibela churches in the afternoon. Overnight Lalibela
DAY 3 : Lalibela - Yimrehana Christos
Visit yimrehana Christos church that is 42km away by car, and spend the afternoon and evening exploring Lalibela on your own Overnight in Lalibela
DAY 4 : Lalibela - Kombolcha
This day you will go to Komoblcha on the way you will visit Lake Hayik and St. Stifance monastery 17th cenchery overnight in Kombolcha
DAY 5 : Kombolcha - Addis
Morning after breakfast direct drive to Addis on the way you will visit the chelada baboon(endemic). Lunch in Addis. After lunch half day city tour of Addis. Dinner will be in famous Ethiopia Cultural restaurant with cultural live music. Overnight in hotel or Depart to your country.
